Glendale System Software Engineering Internship, Spring 2027

About the Role & Program

The Systems Software Engineering team ensures that the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts permeate and create happiness within Modeling, Simulation & Training.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Glendale, CA area, running approximately January 2027 – June 2027. Interns must be fully available for the duration.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to the development of guest throughput attraction models
• Help build Hardware-In-The-Loop test beds for attractions
• Develop in-house tools built off the C++ and C# framework

Requirements

• Experience with Object Oriented Programming, preferably C++ or C#
• Ability to troubleshoot and assess software errors and implement solutions
• Familiar with continuous integration tools like Gitlab
• Experience with controls hardware
• Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student earning a bachelor's or master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related major; GPA 3.0+
• At least 18 years old with unrestricted work authorization

Preferred

• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to take ownership and drive projects with minimal supervision

Schedule & Logistics

• Fully available Monday–Friday, PST, 40 hours/week for the internship duration
• Must provide own housing and reliable transportation in the Glendale, CA area

Pay & Benefits

• $31.00/hr (undergraduate) or $36.00/hr (graduate)
