Director, Mortgage Operations

About the Role

Premier America Credit Union seeks a leader to direct and coordinate all mortgage lending operations, based in Chatsworth, CA (hybrid remote).

What You'll Do

• Oversee processing, underwriting, and funding functions while managing pipeline and closing operations
• Partner with mortgage sales teams to improve workflows and member experience
• Lead operational execution across multiple teams aligned with regulatory standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop new lending products
• Ensure compliance with mortgage-related regulatory procedures
• Manage departmental budget and monitor performance metrics

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years mortgage experience (underwriting, processing, closing, funding) with progressive leadership background
• Background in large banking or credit union environments
• Extensive knowledge of government programs and underwriting guidelines
• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field (preferred)

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: $150,000–$175,000/yr (based on experience)
