About the Role

Experienced entertainment attorney role within Warner Bros. Television's Unscripted Business & Legal Affairs team, supporting one of the industry's leading producers of unscripted programming across broadcast, cable, streaming, and emerging media. Based in Burbank, CA — hybrid, three days per week in office.

What You'll Do

• Negotiate and draft development, production, and distribution agreements, including network licenses, talent deals (producers, on-screen talent), format deals, production services agreements, contestant/participant agreements, releases, branded partnerships, music licenses, and location agreements
• Provide legal advice on union/guild obligations, content clearing, rights research, international filming, and marketing/advertising restrictions
• Ensure compliance with WBD legal policies and applicable laws; provide risk assessments to senior executives; supervise outside counsel and clearance services

Requirements

• 7+ years practicing entertainment law at a national law firm, major studio, or online platform preferred
• J.D. required; active CA State Bar membership
• B.A./B.S. degree required
• Expertise drafting and negotiating entertainment contracts; strong research and communication skills
• Ability to supervise paralegal and clerical staff
• Exceptional judgment; ability to manage high volume with minimal supervision and meet competing deadlines

Pay & Benefits

$154,000–$286,000/yr (varies by experience and location). Benefits include health insurance, wellness program, life/disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, sick time, and vacation.
