About the Role
Join Amazon Leo (Kuiper low Earth orbit satellite network) in Burbank as a Development Lab Test Engineer for the Optical Inter-Satellite Link (OISL) team. Design and execute test plans that help deliver broadband connectivity from space to underserved communities.
What You'll Do
- Design and execute test plans for OISL hardware and systems
- Develop automated test scripts and frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to identify and resolve defects
- Analyze test results and generate technical reports
- Support environmental and integration testing in a lab environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years in hardware test engineering
- Proficiency in Python or scripting for test automation
- Experience with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, etc.)
Preferred
- Experience with satellite systems or aerospace hardware
- Knowledge of optical communication systems
