About the role
Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue used to diagnose medical conditions. Also performs general radiography and fluoroscopy imaging.
What you'll do
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients from adolescence through geriatric
- Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation
- Use PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images correctly
- Maintain accurate records while adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality regulations
- Perform routine equipment maintenance/calibration and manage supply inventory
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
- ARRT registration (R.T.(R)(CT) or R.T.(R)): Required
- CA Radiologic Tech (RT) license: Required; Fluoroscopy license: Required if operating fluoro equipment
- BLS certification: Required
