About the Role
NBCUniversal (DreamWorks) is seeking an Associate Editor to maintain the creative integrity of animated feature films through production and post production. This hybrid role is based in the Los Angeles area with a minimum of three days/week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Maintain creative integrity of film throughout production and post production
- Supervise scratch, production, and ADR dialogue recording sessions
- Cut and supervise temp SFX and music for the story reel
- Serve as primary contact with Technical Directors in production
- Participate in final and temp mixes; supervise quality standards at audio/post houses
- Spot final film with Sound Designer and Composer
- Act as creative liaison between Directors/Production and sound/music teams
- Attend all screenings, studio and preview; incorporate Director changes
- Deliver approved cut to sound and music departments on handover date
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Animation Editing
- Intimate knowledge of AVID Media Composer
Preferred
- Proficiency with Photoshop
- Familiarity with FLIX
- Familiarity with Pro Tools for scratch recording
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems
Pay
$138,112–$175,000/yr | Hybrid | Full-time
