About the role
The Department of Accounting at CSUN's David Nazarian College of Business and Economics seeks two tenure-track Assistant Professors specializing in Audit.
What you'll do
- Teach Audit, Data Analytics, and Accounting courses in various formats (in-person, evening, weekend, online)
- Conduct ongoing scholarship and research in Accounting, maintaining Scholarly Academic status per AACSB accreditation standards
- Hold weekly office hours, attend faculty meetings, and participate in student learning assessment and departmental service
- Mentor a diverse student population
Requirements
- Ph.D. or DBA in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution (ABD acceptable with terminal degree by August 19, 2027)
- Evidence of teaching excellence in university settings
- Potential or evidence of excellence in scholarship through publication in high-quality journals
- Preferred: professional audit or data analytics experience, current CPA licensure, culturally responsive teaching experience
Pay & benefits
$130,000-$158,000/year. Start date: Fall 2027 (subject to budget approval). Application deadline: September 18, 2026 (reviewed on a rolling basis after).
