About the Role
The Assistant Director leads the attraction technical/project management team at NBCUniversal, developing the technical approach for major elements and providing oversight during vendor execution. Manages multiple direct reports up to Technical Program Manager level.
What You'll Do
- Make direct engineering contributions on projects (code/standards compliance, Universal Specifications, technical systems)
- Review and approve all Ride/Show scope of work and RFPs
- Lead the project technical team in assessing and mitigating technical and schedule risk
- Lead achievement of California DOSH sign-off for new attractions
- Drive safety improvements and develop new safety technologies
- Oversee ADA compliance for Shows and Rides; develop accessibility innovations
Requirements
- 15 years vendor management experience with significant in-field installation experience
- 5 years related experience; theme park experience (Show Action Equipment, ride systems) highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
- Required on-site
Pay & Benefits
Salary: $145,000–$185,000 (bonus eligible). Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement.
