Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, assists during surgical procedures by performing scrub duties. Full-time, evening shift, Woodland Hills Medical Center OR.
What You'll Do
- Correctly identifies patient and scheduled procedure; performs patient care activities within scope of competency
- Assembles and ensures all equipment/supplies/instruments are available, calibrated, and sterilized per protocol
- Sets up and organizes the operating room
- Performs scrub role: anticipates surgeon's needs, passes instruments, cuts sutures, holds retractors
- Assists with transfer, transport, and stabilization of patients within scope of competency
- Cleans instruments and equipment and operates sterilization equipment
