LVN II - Ophthalmology, On Call (Panorama City)

About the Role

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, provides nursing care in accordance with established standards of care, policies and procedures. On-call, day shift, Panorama City, CA.

What You'll Do

• Performs patient care functions within scope of competency, following established protocols
• Assists medical personnel with special procedures, minor surgical procedures, and diagnostic exams
• Assesses and monitors patient condition and notifies physician for disposition
• Prepares and administers medications as directed by physician order
• Takes and records vital signs, performs venipuncture/finger sticks, prepares lab specimens
• Initiates emergency procedures (including basic CPR) and provides emergency patient treatment
