Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a seasoned Sr. Staff Lead IMU Systems Engineer to support the IMU/IRU Chief Engineer in overseeing technical operations and driving strategic initiatives. Fully onsite, 9/80 schedule.
What you'll do
- Support the IMU/IRU OU Chief Engineer on technical activities and risk posture
- Develop and execute the OU investment strategy and technical roadmap
- Lead high-performance IMU/IRU hardware and algorithm definition, validation, and integration
- Serve as technical authority for IMU architecture trade-offs
- Mentor systems engineers and support business development activities
Requirements
BS in STEM + 14 years experience (or MS + 12, PhD + 10); deep background in inertial measurement system specs and error budgets; ability to obtain/maintain US Government Secret Clearance; full-time onsite in Woodland Hills.
Preferred: flight-qualified IMU delivery experience for DoD/aerospace, current Secret clearance, EVMS/CAM familiarity, capture management experience.
