Sr. Software Engineer

About the role

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology builds the technological backbone for Disney's media businesses globally. This role is on the Content Platforms team, designing and building web applications that power accounting workflows for payments to content creators and rights holders.

What you'll do

• Design and develop responsive web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern CSS frameworks
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement elegant, usable interfaces
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code and drive front-end performance optimization
• Design and integrate with APIs and backend services
• Lead code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring of teammates
• Deliver projects using Agile methodology

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in web application development using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS
• Strong knowledge of UI performance optimization techniques
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
• Experience with testing frameworks and feature development leadership
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent

Preferred

• Familiarity with AWS (S3, EKS, EC2, SQS/SNS, Lambdas, RDS)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets

Pay & benefits

$141,900–$190,300/year. Bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided. Full medical, dental, vision, and financial benefits.
