Sr. ED Technician, Day Shift Full Time

Job Summary

Assists the Registered Nurse (RN) and MD/Provider with assessments, examinations and treatments. Performs a variety of technical and patient care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs essential functions of the Unit Secretary and functions as triage tech.

Requirements

• High School/GED required; Associate's/Technical Degree preferred
• Two years' technical experience preferred
• EMT certification preferred; CPR/BLS certification required
• CNA, CMA or Paramedic certification preferred
• EMT or NEMT required; CPI or TEAM/TEAM-A required

What You'll Do

• Assist the RN and physician with assessments, examinations and treatments
• Document patient care, vital signs, bedside care and observations
• Maintain state of readiness for equipment and supplies
• Provide patient/family education and mentor staff
• Records and collect specimens
