Sous Chef – Vivo, CityWalk

About the Role

NBCUniversal is looking for a Sous Chef to direct and manage a high-volume branded dining concept at Vivo on CityWalk. You'll be the primary "go-to" for the kitchen team, responsible for the back-of-house functions, flow, and performance.

What You'll Do

• Drive operating profit goals; control food, beverage, and labor costs
• Set expectations for all kitchen team members to maximize productivity
• Hire, train, and schedule kitchen staff; cross-train as needed
• Maintain inventory levels and conduct full inventories
• Respond to guest questions, special requests, and complaints personally
• Analyze financial reports to identify and address cost and profitability trends
• Partner with HR to develop restaurant leaders at every level

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of management experience in a high-quality restaurant group
• Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems
• Ability to work rotating schedules including holidays, weekends, and nights

Preferred

• Proven track record in training program development and implementation
• Strong P&L experience and command of budgeting/cost controls
• Excellent leadership and communication skills in a diverse, fast-paced environment

Pay & Benefits

$70,304–$75,000/yr (SIC eligible). Medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement.
