Senior Systems Reliability Engineer

The Senior Systems Reliability Engineer will help build and sustain world-class platform infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate reliable, scalable systems and platforms supporting Disney's enterprise technology.
• Drive automation of toil reduction, reliability improvements, and incident response.
• Define and implement SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets.
• Lead post-incident reviews and blameless postmortems.
• Partner with development teams to embed reliability engineering practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Build tooling for observability, monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning.
• Support on-call rotation and incident response for critical platforms.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps.
• Strong proficiency with Linux/Unix systems.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, or similar).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java, or similar).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, and storage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in media, entertainment, or large-scale consumer internet environments.
• Experience with observability platforms (Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, or similar).
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and developer platforms.

The hiring range for this position in California is $141,900–$190,300 per year.
