Real Estate Loan Servicer

Overview

The Real Estate (RE) Loan Servicer is responsible for daily cash management activities, including processing exceptions, initiating and submitting wire transfers, and ensuring accurate fund disbursements. This role prepares reconveyances following loan payoffs and manages reconveyance processing for monthly paid-in-full mortgage loans and home equity lines of credit.

Responsibilities

Cash Management

• Posts payments received
• Prepares daily funds transfer and wire transfer requests
• Balances the payment file between LFCU and the sub-servicer; troubleshoots discrepancies
• Reviews paid-off loan reports; sets up and removes auto-pay
• Fulfills sub-servicer requests for paid-in-full documentation

Member/Internal Customer Service

• Answers member and internal customer calls; resolves concerns during first interaction
• Serves as liaison between sub-servicer and the Credit Union for loan adjustments and disputes

Legal File Audit – Document Custodian

• Performs audits of legal files for accuracy and completeness
• Tracks and fulfills documentation requests from title companies and county recorders

Reconveyances

• Prepares reconveyance documents daily for 1st and 2nd Trust Deeds and weekly for HELOCs
• Prepares loan demands for Home Equity loans; coordinates with title and escrow companies

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 3–5 years of real estate loan / loan servicing / financial institution experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience with Symitar or other core banking systems
• Knowledge of Mortgage Servicing Systems preferred

Pay & Benefits

• Pay Range: $25.38–$38.06/hr
• Schedule: Hybrid
