About the role
Ride Development Engineers work within a Project Engineering team, responsible for every aspect of mechanical ride system design and development from concept through installation — on innovative platforms with extreme duty cycles, high reliability, and life-safety requirements. Full-time.
What you'll do
- Manage the entire scope to conceive, design, and deliver complex ride systems, ensuring durability, reliability, and safety
- Create "clean sheet" concept designs that meet creative intent and partner requirements
- Distill and negotiate technical requirements from story descriptions and artwork
- Supervise an engineering & design team through design, mockups, production, installation, testing, and close-out
- Manage vendor/contractor oversight and lead large-scale prototype/mock-up efforts
- Lead installation of ride mechanical equipment, field support, and testing
- Travel/relocate domestically and internationally to support Ride Development across the theme park portfolio
Requirements
- 10+ years hands-on mechanical engineering experience
- Advanced engineering knowledge (statics, dynamics, tolerances, kinematics, stress/strain)

$139,200–$186,600/year
