About the Role
The City of Burbank is hiring Police Recruits. You will attend a California POST-certified law enforcement academy covering the criminal justice system, laws, police procedures, law enforcement techniques, first aid, and physical fitness. Upon graduation, you will be sworn in as a full duty Police Officer.
Compensation
- During academy: $98,332/yr ($7,955.65/month)
- After academy: $99,986–$124,869/yr
- Advanced POST differential: approximately $960/month
- Master's Degree differential: $495/month
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 20 years of age to apply; must reach 21 upon academy graduation
- Good physical condition
- Valid California Class C driver's license at time of appointment
- Ability to undergo strenuous physical conditioning
- Ability to analyze problems and take effective action in emergencies
