Pharmacy Technician

About the Role

Pharmacy Technician supporting the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence at a CVS retail location. Technicians are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.

Once in role, Technicians must complete CVS training and satisfy all state Board of Pharmacy registration, licensing, and certification requirements.

What You'll Do

• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care; solve or escalate patient problems
• Complete basic inventory activities including putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and waiting bin inventories
• Offer immunizations and other services where permissible and supported by required training
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends

Requirements

• Must comply with state Board of Pharmacy requirements for age, education, and licensure/certification
• High school diploma or equivalent (or actively enrolled)
• Minimum age 16 (if state requirements do not specify)
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to work across the market to meet business needs

Pay & Benefits

$19.00–$29.00/hour
