Pharmacy Technician

About the Role

Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence, often serving as the first point of contact for patients and customers. Technicians help ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately. Once in role, technicians must complete a company training program and satisfy state Board of Pharmacy registration, licensing, and certification requirements.

What You'll Do

• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe, accurate prescription fulfillment
• Create positive patient experiences at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone; offer immunizations and other services
• Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership (medication put-away, cycle counts, returns-to-stock)
• Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs; may travel to other stores in the market as needed

Requirements

Must comply with all relevant federal, state, and local pharmacy laws, regulations, and CVS policies, including controlled substance dispensing/recordkeeping and patient privacy.
