Patient Access Scheduling Representative, Per Diem

About the role

Schedules patients for facility services based on physician orders, including ancillary, surgical, and medical testing/procedures/admissions.

What you'll do

• Takes telephone requests for authorizations; prepares referral requests; obtains authorizations and collects patient data
• Completes the scheduling process in the computer system, resolves scheduling conflicts, and cancels/revises appointments as needed
• Maintains EHR referral documentation and tracks referral patient compliance
• Confirms correct patient/service and that orders and required authorizations are in place

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Associate's/technical degree in business or equivalent experience preferred
