What You'll Do
- Schedules, confirms, and modifies appointments based on patient needs and departmental guidelines
- Coordinates with referring and ordering providers to schedule appropriate services
- Verifies insurance eligibility and authorization requirements; ensures accurate patient identification
- Obtains external medical records needed to support scheduled services
- Provides exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and internal departments
Requirements
- High School Education/GED or equivalent (required); Associate's/Technical degree preferred
- 1 year customer service experience, preferably in healthcare or a service-oriented environment
- 1 year experience in Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, physician office, healthcare insurance, or related field
