Nursing Assistant

About the role

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA — a Magnet®-recognized hospital — seeks a Nursing Assistant. Full-time, 12-hour Day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM).

What you'll do

• Provide basic nursing care to patients under direct supervision of an RN
• Assist the RN in observation and care of patients in assigned areas
• Demonstrate proficiency in delivering care to age-specific patient populations (infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics)
• Participate in related continuing education

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of training for Nursing Assistants
• CNA certificate, graduate of an accredited CNA program, or demonstrated equivalency (corpsman, EMT, foreign-licensed RN or MD, or completion of an accredited Nursing Program)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required upon hire
• MOAB I/II within 30–150 days of hire (Emergency Dept., 2T, and PARC only)
