About the Role
Microbiology Lab Technician preparing and testing food product samples at Certified Group's (FSNS) Burbank facility. $20–$22/hr.
What You'll Do
- Prepare samples for indicator organisms, pathogens, and chemistries
- Apply aseptic techniques in daily workload
- Maintain media and reagents for daily microbiological testing
- Inventory and report expendable supplies and materials
- Perform routine preventive maintenance: cleaning, sanitizing, trash disposal
- Perform QC monitoring: incubator temperatures, control organisms, media controls
- Follow FSNS policies and customer requirements for all testing procedures
- Maintain lab condition: equipment, supplies, quality assurance programs, and accurate records
- Work safely and efficiently; share information openly and in a timely manner
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree in Life Science or 2+ years laboratory experience preferred
- Broad knowledge of food testing laboratory concepts, practices, and procedures
- Ability to travel preferred
Pay
$20–$22/hr
