Interim Head Women's Softball Coach

About the Role

Glendale Community College is seeking an Interim Head Women's Softball Coach for a part-time adjunct teaching and coaching assignment in the Athletic Department. Start date: Summer 2026.

The assignment includes teaching ATHPE courses and coaching all Softball games/events Sunday–Saturday (schedule dependent).

What You'll Do

• Teach Athletics and Physical Education (ATHPE) courses
• Organize, recruit, and coach student-athletes per 3C2A Constitution and GCCD policies
• Ensure compliance with 3C2A, Western State Conference, and GCC regulations
• Assist with athletic budget preparation and management
• Lead public relations and fundraising for the softball program
• Build relationships with high school coaches, media, and equipment vendors
• Recruit and manage assistant coaches and student workers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree + 2 years coaching experience, OR Associate's degree + 6 years coaching experience, OR equivalent
• Class C California Driver License (provision to drive 12-seat van preferred)
• Instructor-level First Aid or CPR certification preferred
• Head coaching or 4+ years assistant coaching in higher education preferred

Pay & Benefits

• $68.14–$80.66/hr
