Inspector 2

About the Role

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Inspector 2 in Woodland Hills, CA. This on-site role involves quality inspection of electronic units, electromechanical assemblies, and mechanical subsystems in a manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Visually inspect in-process and completed products including electronic units, precision electromechanical assemblies, and mechanical units
• Use measuring devices and work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, micrometers, fixtures, and inspection checklists
• Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
• Perform line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent + 2 years of inspection experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• US citizenship required
• Electronic or mechanical inspection experience

Preferred

• Experience in a manufacturing setting
• Experience with GD&T and hand tool usage
• Ability to read drawings and specifications
• Experience in engineering developmental settings
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Pay & Benefits

• $47,200–$78,600/year
