Associate Producer

About the Role

Disney Television Animation (DTVA) creates kids & family entertainment across 2D, CG, and stop-motion styles for Disney-branded series. The Associate Producer is a key leadership role partnering with the Executive Producer, Line Producer, and Production/Creative Executives to execute the creative vision of the show within schedule and budget.

What You'll Do

Leadership

• Attend and oversee crew handouts, episode meetings, and reviews
• Ensure Exec, S&P, and Legal notes are tracked and implemented
• Continually assess and improve production workflows
• Approve timecards and track vacation/holiday calendars
• Oversee the Retake process, covering sessions when needed
• Cover Line Producer responsibilities when unassigned or out of office

Scheduling

• Prepare weekly/monthly status reports for show leadership, flagging delays
• Manage the calendar to resolve meeting conflicts

Staffing

• Work with the LP to hire full-time and temporary staff and complete onboarding
• Partner with IT/Operations to ensure the team has needed hardware, software, and tools

Communication & Collaboration

• Coordinate with the Vendor Studio to keep production on track
• Work with artists on assignment and delivery expectations
• Strategize with the LP and show leadership on the Master Schedule and budget

Requirements

• Strong experience in TV animation production
• Strong management skills overseeing a production and artistic crew
• Comfortable working with internal and external departments in a fast-paced environment

Pay

$85,000–$116,800/year, based in Glendale, CA.
