About the Role
Disney Television Animation (DTVA) creates kids & family entertainment across 2D, CG, and stop-motion styles for Disney-branded series. The Associate Producer is a key leadership role partnering with the Executive Producer, Line Producer, and Production/Creative Executives to execute the creative vision of the show within schedule and budget.
What You'll Do
Leadership
- Attend and oversee crew handouts, episode meetings, and reviews
- Ensure Exec, S&P, and Legal notes are tracked and implemented
- Continually assess and improve production workflows
- Approve timecards and track vacation/holiday calendars
- Oversee the Retake process, covering sessions when needed
- Cover Line Producer responsibilities when unassigned or out of office
Scheduling
- Prepare weekly/monthly status reports for show leadership, flagging delays
- Manage the calendar to resolve meeting conflicts
Staffing
- Work with the LP to hire full-time and temporary staff and complete onboarding
- Partner with IT/Operations to ensure the team has needed hardware, software, and tools
Communication & Collaboration
- Coordinate with the Vendor Studio to keep production on track
- Work with artists on assignment and delivery expectations
- Strategize with the LP and show leadership on the Master Schedule and budget
Requirements
- Strong experience in TV animation production
- Strong management skills overseeing a production and artistic crew
- Comfortable working with internal and external departments in a fast-paced environment
Pay
$85,000–$116,800/year, based in Glendale, CA.
