About the Role
The City Attorney's Office seeks an Administrative Analyst II for its Departmental Services and Administration division. This role supports legal services operations through reviewing requests, prescreening agreements, coordinating public records responses, and preparing City Council agenda items.
What You'll Do
- Review legal service requests and prescreen agreements for completeness and compliance
- Coordinate and respond to Public Records Requests
- Draft and prepare agenda items for City Council meetings
- Conduct research and analysis; prepare written reports and presentations
- Assist with budget preparation, monitor expenditures, and help develop performance measurements
- Review and analyze legislation; respond to departmental and citizen inquiries
- May assist with contracts, grant applications, and community outreach programs
- May supervise, train, or evaluate employees
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field (master's degree may substitute for 6 months of experience)
- One year of experience in administrative, budget, or personnel analysis
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of public administration principles, governmental budgeting, and fiscal management
- Proficiency in modern computer software
