FoLAR (Friends of the LA River)

Friends of the Los Angeles River (FoLAR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1986 whose mission is to protect and restore the natural and historic heritage of the LA River and its riparian habitat. FoLAR produces the annual RiverFest, a free public festival along the river, alongside year-round cleanup events, STEM education programs for K-12 students, and advocacy for equitable river access across Los Angeles.
