About the Role

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Test Engineer/Principal Test Engineer to join the EGI-M Airborne Navigation System Integration & Test (I&T) team in Woodland Hills, CA. The role involves conducting comprehensive verification activities throughout the program life cycle, including requirements analysis, test procedure development, test execution, and formal reporting.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop test requirements and detailed integration test plans, procedures, TRRs, test data, and reports
• Execute qualification testing in accordance with established requirements, plans, and procedures
• Conduct tests while managing and prioritizing problem resolution
• Lead cross-functional teams (hardware, software, systems engineers) in lab and field environments
• Conduct formal technical reviews including TRRs with internal stakeholders and external customers
• Design, develop, or integrate specialized test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
• Analyze test data, identify anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and generate comprehensive test reports
• Troubleshoot complex, multi-domain system failures and conduct root cause analyses
• Act as primary technical point of contact during test events

Qualifications — Test Engineer

• Bachelor's in STEM + 2 years test experience, or Master's in STEM
• Experience authoring test procedures, managing test facility interfaces
• Working knowledge of standard test equipment (network analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
• Proficient in MATLAB, C, C++, C#, or Python
• Active US Government Secret clearance; US Citizenship; on-site in Woodland Hills, CA

Qualifications — Principal Test Engineer

• Bachelor's in STEM + 5 years, or Master's + 3 years
• Same technical and clearance requirements as Test Engineer level

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GPS/GNSS/INS/EGI navigation systems
• Experience creating automated test scripts with hardware interfaces
• COMSEC material management experience
• Demonstrated leadership of System Test efforts

Salary Range

• Test Engineer: $83,400–$125,200
• Principal Test Engineer: $103,600–$155,400
