Surgical Technician II – Full Time Evenings (Woodland Hills)

Job Summary

Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, assists the physician during surgical procedures by performing scrub duties.

What You'll Do

• Correctly identify patients and scheduled procedures; perform patient care activities within scope of competency
• Assemble and ensure equipment, supplies, and instruments are available, calibrated, and sterilized for procedures
• Perform scrub role (anticipate surgeon's needs, pass instruments, cut sutures, hold retractors, obtain/process tissue samples)
• Assist with patient transfer, transport, and stabilization within scope of competency
• Clean instruments and equipment; operate sterilization equipment
• Maintain and protect patient confidentiality
