About the Role

Surgical Technologist II, Full-time Evening shift, at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center – OR. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, assists during surgical procedures by performing scrub duties within established standards of care.

What You'll Do

• Correctly identify patient and scheduled procedure
• Set up and organize the operating room
• Perform scrub role: anticipate surgeon's needs, pass instruments, cut sutures, hold retractors, process tissue samples
• Assemble and ensure equipment/supplies/instruments are sterilized and ready
• Clean instruments and operate sterilization equipment
• Transport patients, equipment, and specimens using proper body mechanics
• Maintain patient confidentiality and practice customer service standards

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technician certification
• Ability to work within scope of competency under RN/physician direction
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
