Sterile Processing Technician II (Woodland Hills – Full-Time Night)

Job Summary

Decontaminates, cleans, packages, sterilizes, stores and distributes medical/surgical equipment and supplies in accordance with CDC, OSHA, EPA, AAMI, Title 22, APIC, SGNA, and JC guidelines.

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible for filling orders from requesting departments.
• Makes equipment rounds and returns soiled equipment to SPD; cleans equipment per manufacturer recommendations and validates functionality prior to storage.
• Inventories and restocks supplies and specialty carts per department policy.
• Disassembles, cleans or decontaminates surgical instruments per manufacturer recommendations, including ultrasonic cleaning.
• Assembles, inspects, tests, wraps and dates all OR sets including specialty sets per department protocol.
• Operates all equipment in Sterile Processing, including steam sterilizers, plasma sterilizers, automated endoscope reprocessors, and instrument/cart washers.
• Examines and maintains integrity of sterile packages.
• Prepares OR case carts according to preference cards on all surgical procedures.
