Sr. Audiologist

About the Role

Adventist Health Glendale is seeking a Senior Audiologist. Adventist Health Glendale is a 515-bed hospital located between Burbank and Pasadena, Magnet® designated for nursing excellence, and part of the Adventist Health system serving the San Fernando Valley since 1905.

This role conducts tests for the description and diagnosis of auditory pathology for neonatal, pediatric, and geriatric patients. Conducts rehabilitation programs for the hearing handicapped and consults on diagnostic and rehabilitation services for speech and language disordered individuals.

Essential Functions

• Performs patient care and creates treatment programs in accordance with identified needs; evaluates patient response to interventions and modifies treatment plan appropriately
• Evaluates need for aural rehabilitation; conducts hearing aid selection; provides hearing aid user orientation and auditory training
• Documents timely in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Administers appropriate diagnostic hearing tests including audiological evaluations, impedance testing, site of lesion testing, electronystagmography testing, and auditory brain stem evoked response testing
• Provides supervision to hearing technicians, students, and volunteers
• Assists in maintenance and calibration of audiology equipment and supplies

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in audiology or speech language pathology: Required
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• 3 years of audiologist experience: Preferred
• Audiology licensure in the state of practice: Required
• BLS/CPR certification: Required
• Audiology (AUD) or State Audiology (SAUD): Required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology: Preferred
