About the Role
NBCUniversal's Enterprise Product Team builds products that provide essential capabilities to organizations throughout NBCUniversal. The team leverages deep relationships with our business engagement and engineering counterparts to build cohesive, end-to-end solutions for their clients or users. The product portfolio is aligned around critical NBCU functions such as Content/Title Management, Data & Analytics, Scheduling & Distribution, and Content Sales.
As a part of the Product team, you will be responsible for several products in your department, in constant communication with clients on development progress, deliverables, and timelines. You will lead grooming sessions, execute product demos and walkthroughs, and serve as an expert in your area's product features, capabilities, and functionality. You will consult on new multi-product initiatives and mentor Product Specialists.
What You'll Do
- Product Lifecycle Management — Manage the end-to-end life cycle of products, from ideation through delivery and ongoing optimization. Define and own overall product vision, strategy, and success metrics, including data warehouse and BI platforms.
- Roadmap & Backlog Ownership — Develop and maintain feature roadmaps; lead grooming sessions; document product features in JIRA with measurable acceptance criteria.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering — Collaborate across Engineering, Ad Sales, Programming, Operations, Product, and Architecture to capture requests and align priorities.
- Technical Collaboration & Solution Design — Partner with architecture and solutions leaders; work with engineering teams and vendors on automation and workflow optimizations.
- Data-Driven Product Development — Perform hands-on data exploration and analysis to inform product decisions.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance — Define and execute user acceptance testing; ensure workflows and vendor deliverables meet NBCUniversal standards.
- Incident & Change Management — Coordinate resolution of operational issues and manage change requests.
- Reporting & Analytics — Track and report on vendor performance metrics; provide insights to improve service quality.
- Documentation & Governance — Maintain documentation for processes, integrations, and SLAs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in the technology or media industry
- 3+ years in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
- 3+ years in a role with excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal skills, project management, and presentation abilities
- 3+ years of product management experience in media, including client requirements, specs, and managing roadmaps and launches
- 2+ years of direct client engagement experience
