About the role
Insomniac produces some of the most innovative, immersive music festivals and events in the world — enhanced by state-of-the-art lighting, pyrotechnics and sound design, large-scale art installations, theatrical performers and next generation special effects. Insomniac produces 10,000 concerts, club nights and festivals for seven million attendees annually across the globe, including Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, the world's largest dance music festival. Founded by Pasquale Rotella, based in Los Angeles since 1993.
We're looking for a highly motivated self-starter with a passion for dance culture and public relations, exceptional writing skills, and a love of dynamic environments.
What you'll do
- Draft press releases, media pitches, and other written materials for media and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in media relations efforts: compiling media lists, crafting quotes and key talking points.
- Monitor all Insomniac press coverage and compile a daily coverage report for the PR team.
- Monitor and respond to emails received at [email protected] and manage media requests for club shows and festivals.
- Manage and maintain the press.insomniac.com site with current festival information.
- Coordinate with external agencies on fact-checking, announcement schedules, and media assets.
- Pull photo selects following concerts and branded shows.
- Gather and provide data for internal research projects and pitch decks.
- Project-manage various other short-term assignments as requested.
Requirements
- Must be 18+ and currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school.
- Preferably studying Public Relations/Communications, English, or entertainment-industry majors, at least junior year.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; proficiency with Google Drive.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok).
- Must be able to work out of the Calabasas, CA office at least 2-3 days a week for 6+ hours per day. Typical commitment is 18-29 hours per week.
Nice to have
- Previous internship or work experience in public relations and communications.

Part time, hybrid — 2-3 days/week in the Calabasas, CA office, 18-29 hours/week typical.
