About the role
Nuclear Pharmacy provides radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs to medical care providers under highly regulated State and Federal guidelines, and may consult with or advise physicians and nuclear medicine technologists on the safe use of radioactive drugs for diagnosis and therapy. Shift is a rotating monthly schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage in a 24/7 environment.
What you'll do
- Provide pharmaceutical care as a staff pharmacist, including compounding nuclear medications and quality testing via chromatography
- Assess and maintain pharmacy inventory and execute orders to keep drugs in supply
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management for pharmacy staff
- Manage internal workflows, staffing, and scheduling for the nuclear pharmacy
- Maintain relationships with outside suppliers and vendors
- May serve as Pharmacist in Charge overseeing the facility
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD: Preferred
- Valid CA Pharmacist's license (or in process): Preferred
- 2-4 years of experience: Preferred
- Valid driver's license; ability to work weekends, holidays, on-call rotations
- Prior Authorized User certification preferred (Nuclear Pharmacy Training provided)
Pay & benefits
Anticipated hourly range: $56.10-$88.33. Medical/dental/vision, 401(k), HSA, paid time off, paid parental leave.
