About the Role
A Merchandise Accountant to support operations including month-end close, reporting and analysis, and day-to-day activity for festival and e-commerce merchandise. Reports to the Senior Manager, Event Accounting.
What You'll Do
- Oversee month-end close process for festival and e-commerce merchandise
- Prepare journal entries for merchandise inventory, COGS, and accruals
- Reconcile inventory, received-not-invoiced account, and artist royalty payments
- Review, code, and approve AP invoices for merchandise related expenses
- Partner with the merchandise department on new initiatives and discrepancies
- Perform month-end close tasks in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in cost accounting and inventory management
- Experience with Acumatica preferred; advanced Excel and ERP (Oracle, SAP) skills
