Manager Rides-Technical Services

About the Role

The Manager, Technical Services (Rides & Attractions) at Universal Studios Hollywood maintains strategic and daily operational plans for Rides & Attractions, providing technical guidance across Audio, Special Effects, Projection, Lighting, Set/Scenic, Props, Show Action Equipment, Ride Mechanical Systems, Ride Control, and Show Control Systems.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate and assign technicians for setup, installation, repair, and maintenance of attraction equipment
• Maintain documentation systems and daily activity reports for all attractions
• Ensure equipment meets the highest safety standards per USH policy and manufacturing practices
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Ride & Attraction Technicians
• Oversee technical interaction with engineers, vendors, and sub-contractors
• Partner with HR and Labor Relations to uphold collective bargaining agreements
• Develop training, workforce planning, and rewards/recognition programs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years operating a theme park, theatre, or related business; 3-5 years of operations management/team leadership
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays; proficiency in Microsoft Office

Schedule

On-site, Universal Studios Hollywood.

Pay & Benefits

$90,000–$120,000/year plus bonus. Eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid leave, and tuition reimbursement.
