About the Role
The Corporate Treasury group of The Walt Disney Company manages financial risk and ensures adequate liquidity. Treasury oversees bank relationships, FX and interest rate hedging programs, financial risk management, financing and capital raising, cash management, enterprise consumer payments, and directs the investment of retirement assets.
The FX Risk Management team manages the Company's global foreign currency and commodities exposures and related hedging strategies to mitigate risk and volatility in earnings. The team also manages international liquidity, repatriation efforts, and financing needs for international subsidiaries.
What You'll Do
- Oversee all day-to-day aspects of Disney's global FX hedging programs, including reporting and analysis to monitor exposures and positions
- Manage the FX derivatives portfolio, including data management, documentation, and partnering with Accounting on hedge designation
- Execute foreign exchange hedge contracts and maintain hedge coverage in accordance with market dynamics and risk management policy
- Oversee process improvements, leveraging technology and automation
- Lead FX-related forecasting, analysis, and communication, including estimating FX impacts to business-level P&L and enterprise forecasts
- Support senior Treasury and Finance leadership with analysis and presentations, including preparation for Financial Risk Management Committee meetings
- Manage external relationships related to FX risk management, including banking partners
- Directly manage and develop Analysts and Senior Analysts, including mentorship and career development
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in treasury, financial risk management, FP&A, or capital markets
- Interest in financial markets, including derivatives and hedging strategies
- Experience analyzing and communicating financial impacts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage complex workstreams, prioritize competing deadlines, and exercise sound judgment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience preparing materials for senior leadership
- Demonstrated people-management or team-leadership experience (or readiness to step into a people manager role)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; data analysis, automation, or visualization tools a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in investment banking, corporate treasury, or finance within a large, global corporate environment
- Familiarity with derivatives accounting and experience collaborating with accounting teams
- Advanced degree (MBA or similar)
Pay & Benefits
- Salary: $139,200 – $170,000/yr (Burbank, CA)
- Bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided
