About the role
The Disney Platform Distribution Communications team seeks a Manager, Communications to serve as a key contributor to corporate communications, internal employee communications, and external media relations for the Company's Platform Distribution efforts. Reports to the VP, Platform Communications.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with Disney Entertainment, ESPN, and DTC organizations on storytelling for major campaigns
- Advise on executive communications, including panel nominations and roundup stories
- Develop and maintain a deep network of press relationships across trade, consumer, and entertainment outlets
- Manage distribution, content sales, and wholesale partnership announcements
- Prepare key messaging and talking points; contribute to crisis comms as needed
- Execute domestic and international publicity requests for talent and producers
- Oversee media monitoring efforts and clip reports
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in public relations, publicity, or external communications
- Experience creating PR campaigns, narratives, and messaging
- Deep knowledge of the earned media landscape and strong press relationships
Pay
Hiring range: $115,500–$154,800/year
