About the Role

LVN I — Message Nurse, On-Call at Kaiser Permanente in Woodland Hills, CA. On-site, call-in/on-call, day shift. Works under the direct supervision of an RN or physician.

What You'll Do

• Perform patient care functions within scope of practice, per established protocols
• Assist medical personnel with special procedures and minor surgical/diagnostic exams
• Assess and monitor patient condition; notify physician/health care professional as needed
• Prepare and administer medications as directed
• Apply aseptic technique and infection control; maintain equipment and supplies
• Document patient information, assessments, and nursing procedures
• Perform basic clinical procedures: dressings, catheterization, vital signs, specimen collection, venipuncture, EKGs, and emergency treatment (including basic CPR)
