KABC Maintenance Engineer (As-Needed)

About the Role

KABC-TV, the ABC Owned Television station in Los Angeles, is seeking skilled NABET Maintenance Engineers for as-needed employment supporting critical broadcast and production systems in Glendale, CA.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and support broadcast systems: cameras, production switchers, routers, intercom, RF/audio, and transmission equipment
• Troubleshoot video, audio, control, and IP-based systems in real time
• Provide technical support during live broadcasts
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment repairs
• Support ENG, field operations, and remote productions

Requirements

• 3+ years of broadcast maintenance or systems engineering experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills across video (SDI/IP), audio, RF, and control systems
• Working knowledge of IP networking and file-based/media workflows
• Flexibility for varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Valid driver's license; high school diploma or equivalent

Pay

$65.18/hr — covered under the NABET-CWA ABC Master Agreement
