About the Role

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop at our store and find what they're looking for. Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience.

Event Coordination Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events. Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity. Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities. Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards. Communicate events with clients and store team members. Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed. Adjust plans and events based on client's feedback and needs. Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed. Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events. Uphold the company's cleanliness and safety standards. Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.

Customer Experience Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions. Provide fast and friendly check out experience. Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments. Participate in the truck un-load, stocking and planogram (POGs) processes. Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance. Support shrink and safety programs

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Energetic and enthusiastic personality. Must have experience working with children and children's events. Must have excellent people skills and good communication skills. Retail and/or customer service experience required

Pay & Benefits

• Total Base Pay Range: $18.42 - $21.40
