About the Role

Emergency Department RN – Temporary Seasonal at Kaiser Permanente Panorama City Medical Center. 36 hours/week, Day shifts.

As the leader of the health care team, provides professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities

Leadership:

• Serves as a leader of the health care team; delegates tasks appropriately
• Utilizes effective communication strategies including chain of command and issue escalation
• Mentors, orients, and coaches others in unit operations and patient care activities

Nursing Process:

• Develops and contributes to individualized plans of care reflecting assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Applies clinical expertise to assess, plan, and implement patient care
• Reports unusual findings and changes in patient condition to the appropriate care team members

Patient Experience & Quality:

• Ensures the physical comfort and safety of patients
• Demonstrates quality and effectiveness in clinical practice
• Treats co-workers, patients, families, and members of the health care team with dignity and respect
