Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations

California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is seeking a Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to lead fundraising and partnership efforts with corporations and foundations.

About the Role

The Director will develop and manage relationships with corporate and foundation donors to generate philanthropic support for CSUN's academic programs, research, and student success initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate and foundation relations strategy
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate and foundation donors and prospects
• Write compelling grant proposals, reports, and fundraising materials
• Build relationships with program officers at foundations and corporate giving programs
• Collaborate with faculty and administrators to identify fundable projects and align with funder priorities
• Manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation donors and prospects
• Track and report on solicitation activity and fundraising outcomes
• Represent CSUN at external events and with the business community

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of experience in development, fundraising, or corporate/foundation relations
• Demonstrated track record of securing significant corporate or foundation gifts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong relationship-building and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in nonprofit management, communications, or related field
• Experience in higher education development
• CFRE certification
