CA District Support Pharmacist (Part-Time)

About the Role

CVS Health District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) cover pharmacist scheduling gaps across the district, under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader, and are accountable for supporting the management, oversight, and operation of the pharmacy team.

What You'll Do

• Help manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled, overseeing the pharmacy in the Pharmacy Manager's absence
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures
• Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
• Support effective management of pharmacy inventory, with a focus on protecting cold chain products
• Support access to care through pharmacist-delivered clinical services (e.g. COVID/Flu testing, Hormonal Contraception) where permissible

Requirements

• Understanding of and compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards
• Flexibility for scheduling and travel across district stores
