Associate Teacher

About the Role

Under general supervision of the classroom Teacher, the Associate Teacher promotes activities designed to stimulate learning in all educational areas, encourages family participation, develops individual goals for children, and facilitates transition into kindergarten.

• Interactions with Children and Families (70%)
• Staff Relationships (15%)
• Administrative Functions (15%)

Requirements

• 24 semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, including 3 units of infant/toddler development coursework
• 6 months of external experience or 1,000 hours of ECL classroom experience
• Associate Teacher Permit (or higher, per CTC Matrix) held or pending, received within 90 days of hire
• First Aid and CPR Certificate upon hire or within 30 days
• Intermediate tech skills (Zoom, Outlook, MS Suite, PowerPoint)
• Up to 20% travel

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours/week; may include non-traditional hours
• Onsite at an Early Care and Learning Center (classrooms for ages birth–5, outdoor play areas)

Pay & Benefits

• $21.00/hr
