Asset Protection Agent

About the Role

The Asset Protection (AP) team keeps our customers, teams, and brands safe. AP partners with the store Emergency Response Team (ERT) and protects company profits by mitigating shrinkage risks, preventing, investigating, and resolving theft.

What You'll Do

• Resolve theft using good judgment; conduct apprehensions in high shrinkage areas
• Identify theft trends leveraging technology, reporting, and surveillance tactics
• Drive a shrinkage reduction culture by implementing action plans
• Investigate internal theft; gather evidence and partner with AP Leadership
• Use video systems to monitor theft activity and support investigations
• Maintain general safety and security; respond to and report all security and emergency incidents
• Serve as a member of the store Emergency Response Team (ERT); participate in First Aid training
• Prepare and submit reports for incidents, recoveries, investigations, and policy violations
• Testify in court when summoned
• Build partnerships with store leaders, neighboring retailers, and local law enforcement

• Ability to make accountable decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Clear and concise verbal and written skills
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Calm demeanor when dealing with safety issues including aggressive individuals
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Experience in investigative, asset protection, and security procedures (preferred)

Pay & Benefits

$26.70–$27.80/hr
