VP, Content Strategy - WB Animation

About the Role

The VP, Content Strategy for WB Animation develops and implements content licensing strategies for original productions, builds third-party platform relationships, and identifies new content opportunities for Warner Bros. Discovery.

What You'll Do

• Creates content strategy plans and aligns with development/creative teams
• Identifies domestic licensing opportunities for new and returning series; negotiates key licensing terms
• Identifies first-window international licensing opportunities for new series
• Coordinates with the WBTV distribution team on library deal opportunities
• Oversees internal/external presentations on content in production/development
• Maintains relationships across WBD divisions (Cartoon Network, Consumer Products, DC Comics, etc.)
• Identifies properties to develop for animated series, shorts, and online content for family audiences
• Leads global initiatives including the APAC Animation Committee and development in Korea, LatAm, and other markets

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in animation licensing and/or development and production
• Experience working with network executives and creative management
• Experience negotiating licensing terms
• Mastery of the animation development process
• Experience working with overseas studios/networks, especially in Asia and/or Europe
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
